Unlocked Cell Phones Vs. Cell Phones With Contract

Unlocking or ‘jailbreaking’ of cell phones to save money on bills has become a trend. Several companies have earned a reputation for providing the safest and easiest unlocking software that operate in the 3.1.2 firmware version of iPhone 3G and the 3.1.3 version for the iPhone 2G. The jailbreaking market is an ever-expanding one, especially in emerging economies, such as Russia, China and India.
Most cell phone companies in the United States offer network locked handsets, which can be operated with one particular carrier’s network. Unlocked cell phones enable cell owners to easily switch cellular operators in order to add features or services that specific operators may not offer.
Comparison between Locked and Unlocked Cell Phones
The primary difference between the two kinds of cell phones is that a handset with contract would not work with any other service providers. To use their phones in any other part of the world, users would have to either purchase a new unlocked handset or unlock it with the help of software.
A marked difference in prices results in the same model being marketed in two versions. Locked phones are available at lower prices than contract handsets because the provider earns not on the phone but by entering into a contractual relation for a time period with the user. Moreover, locked cell phones are considered to be more secure that their unlocked counterparts.
A programmed cell phone helps the provider keep track of the service, send calls and compile the minutes. This proves advantageous to the user since its offers the technology to place calls, retrieve voicemail and send messages. Another benefit of using SIM cards is that one can switch it from one phone to another without changing the provider, in case some problem arises in the old handset. However, the user has to make sure that the new handset is unlocked.
The main downside of locked handsets is the fetters introduced by the provider, making its difficult for the user to operate in other state or even switch cell phones. In case users sign up for a new service, they have to purchase a new handset, reset it to their preferred settings and re-enter all the contacts manually. Tourists often have to pay exorbitant fees to use cell phones in another country. This type of situation proves to be quite expensive and inconvenient.
NOKIA, the world’s largest cell phone manufacturer, now runs advertisements that say ‘Open to Anything’ and ‘Unlock your potential.’ The purpose behind this is to let users know that NOKIA handsets can be used with any carrier, unlike handsets manufactured by many other providers.

Guides in Choosing the Best Cell Phone
Before buying one, you should know the different factors that you have to consider when purchasing a phone. Cellular phones have made one of the major evolvement that was then a science fiction.
Now, it makes you do a lot of options like taking snapshots, receiving and sending emails, playing games, recording videos, and listening to non-stop music of your choice.

Comparing Cell Phones
Gadget geeks are always looking forward to new cell phone releases.
There are individuals who want to keep abreast with the latest cell phone trends and so they replace their cell phone units from time to time. But before making another cell phone purchase, don’t you think it’s important to compare the mobile phones with one another?
Xaviera Arata Editor of the Cell Phone Reviews website — http://www.CellPhoneReviewsUsa.com — pointed out;
“…Spontaneous individuals often purchase items, including cell phones, without making comparisons. By doing so, these individuals often end up with a phone that don’t meet all their needs. When making a purchase, you have to consider some important points…” Added Xaviera Arata
When comparing cell phones, you need to consider points like price, reliability, and features.
Check out the price of the cell phone. If you simply walk inside a cell phone shop without any idea of what to purchase, you will surely be talked into purchasing a phone that’s expensive and worse, a phone that can’t meet all your needs or wants. Make sure that you shop around before making the final purchase. If you don’t have money to spend, you can check out used and refurbished cell phones because these are very affordable. But if you really want to get a new one, you should identify the features of the phone that you’ll need and you should also consider how you’re going to use your phone. Look into the price of different handsets and choose one that you can afford.
Reliability is another point that you need to consider when comparing phones. Choose cell phones which are durable and of high quality. There are top cell phone manufacturers out there so you need to check them out. If you want to determine the best and reliable cell phones in the market, you need to check out cell phone ratings and reviews. That way, you will know which units are reliable and which ones have low quality.
Cell phones come with different features. Oftentimes, the cell phone features determines the price of the unit. With so many features, the cell phone will naturally command a high price. Today, cell phones are cooler because it has features like music player, video, games, camera, internet, and a lot more. Review the features and determine if you really need them. Make sure that the handset you choose has all the features you like before making a final decision.

What do you think is a respectable age to get a cell phone?
I am 12 (13 in less than 3 months) and my parents who always say maybe next year when I bring up this question told me yesterday I will get one when I am 16! But see here’s what’s crazy about it. At this age a lot of kids have one. I am a responsible girl who gets great grades. My brother was 15 when he got his first cell phone and he broke it within a year after he got it. My brother is definitely not as responsible as me because his cell phone got broke in his basbeall bag by his bat! I don’t really want or need a cell phone but I feel kind of left out. I want your true opinion! For me I don’t think I might ever get a cellphone but it’s not like a cell phone is my first choice (a puppy is but my parents say no to that 2). And just so you know my brother gets a lot more attention then I do. He got a laptop broke it. An expensive phone broke it. Got a more expensive phone!
By the way my parents paid and are paying for all of these items.
He paid for 2 ipods broke the first and got a new one. (still has)
I had 2 cameras (more expensive than teh ipod) the first one had something iternally wrong with it (i didn’t break it) and the second I have. Both I paid for (over 100 dollars).
I got an ipod (I paid for).
And a desktop computer (well actually it isn’t mine and I didn’t pay for it was meant as a gift for me but even after my brother promised to let me use his cell phone he uses my computer more than me! and the only reason my parents bought it is because my dad needed an email for my brother’s baseball career and my brothers school work). I have you know I have went to over a thousand baseball games in my lifetime and never ever a thanks! I am so irritated with my family because they never buy me anything for Christmas this year I got two shirts! My brother got lots of cash. Is it me or am I being ignored! I know I went on and on about this but just a comparison of our electronics you can tell who has had the most money spent on (my dad has spent more than 200 thousand dollars actually way more than that to my ungrateful brother for baseball teams and traveling with him).

ANTIPHONY: A style of chanting involving a call and response. Since billions of people are called to cell and portable phones every day – and most will be chosen to conduct the biggest biological experiment ever undertaken on this planet – perhaps some responses to this mass culture of addiction and denial are in order.

“For three years now Ingri and I have been traveling with a hand-held device called a ‘zapchecker’. The zapchecker measures ambient levels of electromagnetic radiation. During dozens of road trips throughout the western U.S. since 2003, we would be driving along and notice that the zapchecker would suddenly ‘spike’. We would then see a cell tower, a hospital or government building with a satellite communications array, a radio station or sometimes, high tension lines within a half mile or so. After a few minutes, the zapchecker would calm down again until the next wireless monument came within range…
“On March 30, 2006, Ingri and I traveled from Spirit Lake to Seattle to attend what turned out to be an excellent 9/11 truth event on the University of Washington campus. What we experienced with regard to measurable amounts of ambient electromagnetic radiation was shocking to us and occupied much of our conversation throughout our journey. Wherein previous years there would be miles between measurable amounts of radiation being detected by our zapchecker, the opposite was suddenly true. Our zapchecker was spiking about 90% of the time during our 800-mile round trip. It was ‘clean’ only between cell towers and now there is almost always one in sight. In all cases, when we were in urban areas, the zapchecker was solidly spiked – even when the sensitivity of the device was turned down.” -Amy Worthington
One in six children suffers some neurological disability, and the rate of autism has skyrocketed in the last decade. “In the USA, one in every 166 children has an autism spectrum disorder- an increase of 6,000% since the 1970′s,” reports the Boston Globe. [Boston Globe July 1/05]
RF exposure “is wholly correlated with the repeatedly documented increased incidence of autism: now reported by at least some researchers as greater than 1 per 100 newborn. ” -Dr. Kane [elektrosmognews.de Feb/02]

Major Features of CECT i9 and CECT P168: Which Cell Phone Suits You Better?
The China cell phone brand CECT started to spread on the international market with good quality, rich features and great pricing. Among all CECT wholesale mobile phones, CECT P168 and CECT i9 are the bestsellers. In reality, CECT i9 is the latest updated version of P168, the first iPhone clone which gains its popularity with user-friendly interface and unsurpassable pricing advantage. Of course, i9 is better than CECT P168. The following will give a basic introduction to these two CECT cell phones.
CECT P168: In terms of usability, if you are seeking a real iPhonoe, CECT P168 will not satisfy you, but if you are just seeking a rich-feature, convenient but cheap cellular phone, CECT P168 will more than enough. The CECT P168 looks really similar to iPhone, except that the menu buttons of the two cell phones are obviously different. Even the wallpaper of P168 is similar to that of iPhone. The P168 features a 3.5-inch touch scree” a 2 MP camera (actual resolution is 1.3 Megapixel). Besides, it has dual-SIM card slot, video player, music player, software downloading capacity, games and tools like alarm clock, calculator, dictionary, etc. However, CECT P168 does not have the function of simultaneous use of two SIM cards. Users have to change between the two SIMs they are using. P168 can be set with caller photos and personal favourite ringtones. Also, the touch-screen keypad makes CECT P168 a model easier to write messages and dial numbers. New users should be aware that the ringtones and the message alert sounds are very loud. When I heard the ringtone of CECT P168 for the first time, I was shocked by the too loud ringtones! Even if you set the sound to the lowest, it sounds louder than other cellular phones.
CECT i9: As the closest iPhone imitator ever, the CECT i9 is quite interesting. It is hot-selling for various reasons. In comparison with CECT P168, i9 has a sleeker look as well as more useful features. A range of functions have been upgraded CECT i9 since the emergence of CECT P168. Before the emergence of CECT i9, models based on CECT P168 included CECT P168 Plus and CECT Sciphone. The new CECT i9 supports the simultaneous use of 2 cards, thus avoiding the trouble to switch between 2 SIMs. Shake and tilt feature is available in this model. The shake feature makes it possible to advance or forward music, media and songs by shaking the model and the tilt feature means whether you put the CECT i9 in portrait or landscape, the handset will adjust itself to be up right automatically . In addition, the expandable memory storage is enlarged to up to 8GB. Finally, the most important upgrade with the CECT i9 lies in the Java support, which supports third party applications such as outlook express, cool games—many can be got for free. Though the pricing of the CECT i9 is a little higher than that of the CECT P168, with so many upgraded features, you will find the CECT i9 is totally worthy! If you think the upgraded features are not necessary for you, just go for the cheaper CECT P168—it is also a great cellular
