PostHeaderIcon Major Features of CECT i9 and CECT P168: Which Cell Phone Suits You Better?

The China cell phone brand CECT started to spread on the international market with good quality, rich features and great pricing. Among all CECT wholesale mobile phones, CECT P168 and CECT i9 are the bestsellers. In reality, CECT i9 is the latest updated version of P168, the first iPhone clone which gains its popularity with user-friendly interface and unsurpassable pricing advantage. Of course, i9 is better than CECT P168. The following will give a basic introduction to these two CECT cell phones.

CECT P168: In terms of usability, if you are seeking a real iPhonoe, CECT P168 will not satisfy you, but if you are just seeking a rich-feature, convenient but cheap cellular phone, CECT P168 will more than enough. The CECT P168 looks really similar to iPhone, except that the menu buttons of the two cell phones are obviously different. Even the wallpaper of P168 is similar to that of iPhone. The P168 features a 3.5-inch touch scree” a 2 MP camera (actual resolution is 1.3 Megapixel). Besides, it has dual-SIM card slot, video player, music player, software downloading capacity, games and tools like alarm clock, calculator, dictionary, etc. However, CECT P168 does not have the function of simultaneous use of two SIM cards. Users have to change between the two SIMs they are using. P168 can be set with caller photos and personal favourite ringtones. Also, the touch-screen keypad makes CECT P168 a model easier to write messages and dial numbers. New users should be aware that the ringtones and the message alert sounds are very loud. When I heard the ringtone of CECT P168 for the first time, I was shocked by the too loud ringtones! Even if you set the sound to the lowest, it sounds louder than other cellular phones.

CECT i9: As the closest iPhone imitator ever, the CECT i9 is quite interesting. It is hot-selling for various reasons. In comparison with CECT P168, i9 has a sleeker look as well as more useful features. A range of functions have been upgraded CECT i9 since the emergence of CECT P168. Before the emergence of CECT i9, models based on CECT P168 included CECT P168 Plus and CECT Sciphone. The new CECT i9 supports the simultaneous use of 2 cards, thus avoiding the trouble to switch between 2 SIMs. Shake and tilt feature is available in this model. The shake feature makes it possible to advance or forward music, media and songs by shaking the model and the tilt feature means whether you put the CECT i9 in portrait or landscape, the handset will adjust itself to be up right automatically . In addition, the expandable memory storage is enlarged to up to 8GB. Finally, the most important upgrade with the CECT i9 lies in the Java support, which supports third party applications such as outlook express, cool games—many can be got for free. Though the pricing of the CECT i9 is a little higher than that of the CECT P168, with so many upgraded features, you will find the CECT i9 is totally worthy! If you think the upgraded features are not necessary for you, just go for the cheaper CECT P168—it is also a great cellular

PostHeaderIcon Altova Delivers Customers’ “Most Wanted” Features With Version 2010 of Its MissionKit Tool Suite

BEVERLY, MA–(Marketwire – November 3, 2009) – Altova® (http://www.altova.com), creator of XMLSpy®, the industry leadingXML editor, today announced the availability of Version 2010 (v2010) of the Altova MissionKit®, an integrated suite of XML, database, and UML tools. Version 2010 delivers over 70 of customers’ “most wanted” features across the product line, from support for new technologies like WSDL 2.0 in XMLSpy and MapForce®, JSON in XMLSpy, and SysML in UModel®, to enhanced functionality for working with XBRL in XMLSpy, a completely new stylesheet design option in StyleVision®, and much more. For users working on the newest version of the Microsoft® Windows® platform, Version 2010 is also compatible with Windows 7.

“With the state of economy today, companies are only buying the tools they need to get the job done efficiently and within budget. As always, at Altova we aim to provide our customers — both current and future — with affordable and easy-to-use tools that meet their needs, whether they are developers, database administrators, or IT power users,” said Alexander Falk, President and CEO for Altova. “To that end, we’ve responded to our customers’ feedback to add more than 70 of their ‘most wanted’ features to the latest version of the Altova MissionKit, delivering the most comprehensive support in the industry for working with XML, databases, and UML.”

Each of the tools available in the Altova MissionKit 2010 provides a host of new features and functionality:

– XMLSpy 2010 — Powerful new functionality has been added to the XMLSpy XML editor, including one of the most often requested features: support for WSDL 2.0. This adds to existing support for WSDL 1.1, allowing developers to edit and validate either version of a WSDL file in XMLSpy’s unique graphical WSDL editor. XMLSpy even supports one-click conversion between WSDL 1.1 and WSDL 2.0 files, allowing for easy migration. XMLSpy 2010 also includes enhancements to its XBRL support, including a new XBRL Taxonomy Wizard for creating XBRL taxonomies in the graphical XBRL Taxonomy Editor, generation of comprehensive XBRL documentation, and new functionality for finding and sorting data in large XBRL taxonomies and instance files. With v2010, XMLSpy adds to its long list of supported standards with new functionality for working with the JavaScript Object Notation (JSON). The new JSON editor gives users the flexibility to edit JSON files using the same intuitive text and grid/tree views and intelligent editing options available for XML editing, and it even provides one-click conversion between XML and JSON files. Unlike any other XML editor, XMLSpy 2010 supports both JSON and XML, giving developers an easy way to work with JSON in the same environment where they’re developing XML-based AJAX, and Web services applications.

– MapForce 2010 — Several new features have been added to the MapForce data mapping tool in Version 2010. Users can now process data from or into multiple files, making it easy to consolidate file collections or output data from one file to many. As a complement to this feature, input or output file names can now be used as parameters, enabling the user to generate dynamic mappings in which this information is defined at run-time. MapForce 2010 EDI support has also been enhanced with EDI file validation in generated code and support for three additional EDIFACT messages. MapForce also now supports working with WSDL 2.0 for building and connecting to Web services, and supports the use of xsi:type in XML documents.

– StyleVision 2010 — Version 2010 of StyleVision, Altova’s visual stylesheet designer, introduces new features and usability enhancements to streamline e-Form development and template design and portability for more efficient reporting based on XML, XBRL, and database sources. A new design paradigm allows users to create templates within layout containers or even upload a blueprint image on which to base their design. This adds a new level of flexibility to the design process, enabling users to lay out their design first and add content after, in the same way they would approach common desktop publishing applications. Additionally, the new absolute positioning feature lets users specify exact coordinates for each element to absolutely position them in their designs. These features combine to provide StyleVision 2010 users with an invaluable tool for designing true electronic forms. Template designers can also now utilize multiple page layouts within the same document, an extremely valuable feature for those working with printed media. StyleVision 2010 also provides several new developer features, including: support for inline (HTML, XSLT, XSL:FO) processing commands, extension templates based on any XPath, importing external XSLT files, and a disable-output-escaping function for rendering code as-is, without it being transformed by a processor.

– Authentic 2010 — Authentic® 2010 users will directly benefit from many of the new StyleVision features for true electronic forms design described above. The sophisticated e-Forms created in StyleVision 2010 are presented in Authentic as a true WYSIWYG-interface for XML and database content editing, where powerful entry helpers and intelligent editing features allow users to easily get their data into valid XML or database stores — without ever being exposed to the underlying technical syntax. Other usability enhancements added to Authentic 2010 include a new paste as text option that enables Authentic users to insert data into e-Forms as marked up XML or text-only; and the ability to view user-defined HTML elements/blocks, generated output with the new disable-output-escaping functionality, and variables created in StyleVision design templates. Authentic 2010 also includes a browser plug-in for Firefox, as well as support for the newest version of Internet Explorer, IE8. With the release of Version 2010, Authentic is now offered in Enterprise and Community Editions, both of which are available as either as a desktop application or browser plug-in. The new Authentic 2010 Enterprise Edition requires a paid license and provides advanced features for WYSIWYG XML and database content editing. Authentic 2010 Browser-Plugin Enterprise Edition is offered on a 12 month license term basis. Authentic 2010 Community Edition is available under a free license.

– UModel 2010 — New productivity-enhancing features have been added to Version 2010 of the UModel UML tool, including support for the Systems Modeling Language (SysML). SysML uses seven diagram types that are part of the UML specification and includes two additional diagrams — requirement diagrams and parametric diagrams. UModel 2010 supports all SysML v1.1 diagram types and elements with code generation in Java, C#, and Visual Basic. A new scripting environment and form editor has also been added to allow users to automate UModel operations from within the UML tool itself. UModel 2010 also introduces a new option to generate multiple sequence diagrams from reverse engineered Java, C#, and Visual Basic application code.

– DatabaseSpy 2010 — DatabaseSpy® 2010 includes a powerful new visual database schema comparison feature that allows users to compare database schemas within the same database type, or across database types (all major relational databases are supported). DatabaseSpy 2010 displays differences between database schemas in a graphical manner, and users can generate a change script to merge changes in either direction. DatabaseSpy 2010 can also now convert database structures between different database types, for example, to migrate from MySQL® to Oracle® or SQL Server®. Other often-requested usability features include calculation of information for selected results (count, total, average, sum, etc.) and result grid printing.

– DiffDog 2010 — In DiffDog® 2010, functionality has been extended for comparing and merging XML and database content. DiffDog 2010 introduces a powerful XML Schema diff feature that allows users to compare and merge XML Schemas as they evolve, and then generate an XSLT file to update corresponding XML instance documents according to the new schema. Alternatively, users can choose to generate an Altova MapForce mapping file based on the DiffDog comparison to further refine the transformation between schemas. Also new in DiffDog 2010 is database schema comparison and merging functionality similar to that in DatabaseSpy 2010, as described above.

PostHeaderIcon Smart Home Features

It’s about time I go to the nitty gritty about what kind of features you might want in a smart home. Both x10 and INSTEON have products that can suit these needs. Anyway here are the most common features you might choose to have in a smart home:Lighting

As lighting is an integral part of a building. The user would be able to choose the time of activation, for example, in the home 7pm when it starts to get dark might be a sensible option. If the user wishes to further customise the lighting settings there should be an option available to implement motion detection, which would involve a person actually stepping into a room, in order for the lights to be activated. This could include a specific room in the home or all the rooms. In a voice controlled format the user could check if the lights were on in any room of the house by speaking into a Bluetooth headset. The system could then ask the user is the lights are in the required state.Security

With the advancements of smart technology, it makes sense to include security fetures. The user would be able control the arming and disarming of the alarm, as well as edit specific settings of the alarm, such as the key code. The user could also have the option to configure intrusion detection settings. This would work firstly by outside lights detecting motion and then the system would warn the security personnel or house owner of any windows or doors being forced open, through the use of electronic sensors that are connected to the system.Temperature

The user would be able to control the heating and cooling of the home, through the use of both time and parameter-based functions. The user may choose for the heating to come on when outside conditions drop below a certain temperature, there would be heat-sensitive sensors placed outside to detect varying conditions.Appliances

The power supply to all appliances in the home could be controlled using the smart system. In a large home this would be a very convenient feature because there may be a lot of electrical appliances that are left on standby, hence the system should contain a feature, which searches all power supply links in the home to determine where energy can be saved.Entertainment

For a fully capable smart home, entertainment features would be an innovative feature to include. The most widely used aspect of entertainment features would probably be the ability for subtle music to air throughout the household, this would be very welcoming especially if a resident has had a stressful day at work.System Status

It is worth having an option to verify the current status of the system. This kind of feature would provide the user with the ability to scan the entire system or just parts of it for errors.Vehicle Detection

When a vehicle approaches the driveway of a home, the system should be able to alert the homeowner. This is only possible if certain types of smart home technologies are used. It would work very well with a Bluetooth headset because the system announce the arrival of the visitor to the homeowner. It would also work well with more long-range wireless standards, such as, GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) because the homeowner could receive an SMS (Short Message Service) when someone arrives at the home, which is especially useful when away from the home.Phone set-up

A home-based system should be able to initiate with a mobile-phone when the house is empty. The system should provide the ability for the user to enter the name and model number of the phone so it can be verified for use. The user will be able to communicate with the system when approaching home to switch the television or the oven on and any other electrical appliances the house owner may wish to make use of.Wake up

A useful feature in a home-based smart system would be alarm clock functionality, for example, the user would be able to choose from a selection of wake up sounds from more pleasant sounds to more piercing types. At the weekend the more pleasant ones are likely to be selected.

PostHeaderIcon 3 High-Tech Features Of The Apple Iphone

What’s the big deal behind the Apple iPhone? It’s expensive. It’s revolutionary. But are its features worth the money?
With all the popularity, you can assume everyone’s at least heard about it. What does the Apple iPhone feature and what can it do?
#1: Multi-Touch Technology
The most outstanding feature is the iPhone’s radical multi-touch screen. The MT screen allows any mechanical button to appear on this high tech toy. It simply allows you to use your fingers to operate it. This is contrary to any other phone today, which either have mechanical keyboards or a stylus.
By tapping the screen with your finger, you can navigate menus, dial phone numbers, write e-mail messages and likewise use the whole functionality of the popular gadget. The three-point-five-inch screen displays a keyboard for inputting text via multi-touch. Most consumers are seemingly skeptical about typing with the virtual keyboard, but Apple has predicted the common problems and has made sure the iPhone was constructed with features like automatic spell check and word prediction, not to mention an enhanced customizable dictionary. More so, the iPhone addresses the problems of typos commonly known to multi-touch usage by adding self-correction capabilities.
When scrolling, the usual wheel is not found at the side of the gadget. The multi-touch screen functionality allows its owner to scroll by dragging a finger in the desired direction. The speed of scrolling is designed to be proportional to the speed at which you drag your finger.
The multi-touch feature furthermore enables several more functions like multi-touch sensing for magnifying or reducing photos and even web pages. Using this feature, you can regulate object size simply by placing two fingers at the side of the object and then moving them, by dragging, either further apart or closer to one another. This feature does not distort images because images are initially scaled according to its original dimensions in the first place.
Hands down, the iPhone is more intelligent than any other phone today.
#2: Revolutionary Sensors
The gadget’s sensors have the ability to detect changes to the iPhone’s environment. The sensors are minuscule yet absurdly powerful. The three major sensors include an accelerometer, sensor for ambient light, and a proximity sensor.
The accelerometer sensor conveys the ability to detect any changes in the iPhones positioning. …The iPhone’s screen display will actually rotate to portrait or landscape, while still packing its contents into the 3.5-inch screen. Because it changes the view according to ratio, images are not distorted among web pages, videos, or photos.
The proximity sensors.
These high-tech features detect the location of the iPhone with regard to the skin. When you make a call and hold the iPhone up against your ear, the display will automatically set to standby. This is important in that it serves two basic functions.
One, by shutting off the display when not necessarily needed, this saves your battery’s life. More so, this avoids accidental touches to the screen, which would otherwise be sensitive. As soon as the cell is moved away from your face, the proximity sensors react in this way.
Ambient light sensor.
Through the AL sensor, changes in the phone’s environment are detected and instantaneously adjust the display’s brightness. Your iPhone’s display will always be well adjusted in regard to lighting.
#3: Mac OS X Operating System
The hype behind the Apple iPhone increased when Mac fans found out the Mac OS X would be included. The Mac OS X is the operating system inside the latest Apple computers. On the other hand, the electronic doesn’t have the complete functionality of the operating system. The entire OS X is too large to fit within the 4GB or 8GB internal memory. The iPhone contains a 500 MB version of the operating system.
