Some may say genetic engineering is wrong because it is wrong for Humans to play god….I say it is wrong because it goes against what nature intends and ruins the gene pool through recklessness…
Your future is never predetermined simply by your genes. And no matter if it is humans or pure chance that decides your genes, you do not have a choice.The question is, shall we let heartless chance keep deciding our fate or shall we as humans make the choices. I have enough faith in humanity to say that I think the answer should be obvious.

if anyone were to “build babies”, we should make them with superior intelligence. we should make 100s of geniuses an school them roughly, and wait for one of them to discover the cure for cancer or.., how to travel at the speed of light or something.
Ya–but what is “superior intelligence” and how can we be sure we’re not not just breeding another form of autistic savant? When we rotated our eyes up front for stereo vision, we lost sight of the big picture. Every advantage has its cost. We should never invest in one power to the exclusion of all others. Diversity is the only thing that keeps a species alive in tough times. Whatever comes of the future, we won’t win by narrowing our options.
