Marc, interesting, I started exactly the same way. First got the guide, believed everything I read, then realized they’re just an opinion. Then picked up “The Emperor of Scent” by Burr, about Turin and the new theory. this one gives pretty good details into the industry background and the process of making molecules but is too heavy IMO on the science of Turin’s smell theory. Next was The Perfect Scent, found recently at chapters/indigo on sale for like $7!!! check online. Some Rec’s People!!!?
